MKB Coir & Jute Mat Sustainable, biodegradable solutions to stabilize and jumpstart vegetation
When it comes to erosion control, nature often knows best. Our coir and jute fiber mats provide the immediate mechanical protection your soil needs to prevent sediment runoff while creating the perfect micro-climate for long-term vegetation establishment. Engineered for performance and rooted in sustainability, these natural fiber solutions work best for environmentally sensitive sites.
Why Choose Natural Fiber Mats?
Unlike synthetic alternatives, our coir (coconut fiber) and jute (vegetable fiber) mats are 100% biodegradable. They work in two phases:
Immediate Protection
They anchor the soil surface, preventing rain impact and wind erosion.
Biological Restoration
As the plants take root, the mats slowly decompose, enriching the soil with organic matter and leaving behind a stabilized, self-sustaining landscape.
Typical applications
- Steep slope stabilization
- Riverbank & Shoreline Restoration
- Wetland Mitigation

Frequently asked questions
Use Coir if your project requires long-term stabilization (multiple growing seasons) or is located in a high-water-flow area. Use Jute for projects where you need quick, budget-friendly protection for a single season or until vegetation is well-established.
Yes. Both coir and jute are harvested from renewable plant sources. They leave no microplastics or toxic residues behind, fully decomposing into the earth to support soil health.
No heavy machinery is required. You will primarily need a utility knife for cutting, landscape staples or wooden stakes for anchoring, and a mallet for driving the stakes into the ground.
