On August 31st, 2018, the Pennsylvania DEP approved Siltron® Advanced Silt Fence for use in High Quality and Exceptional Waterways, making it the only fence approved for use in High Quality and Exceptional Waterways in Pennsylvania.
Developed by MKB Company & Huesker, Siltron is an innovative sediment control system designed to provide the highest level of environmental protection on a construction site. It functions as a dynamic filter-ponder which allows it to adjust to changing stormwater intensity across the entire face of its three-layer composite geotextile, resists punctures and tears, requires no wire backing, and traps viscous pollutants.
Siltron is listed on the PADEP Alternative E&S and PCSM BMP’s document. It is available in three different heights as pre-staked bundles that are equivalent to 18”, 24” and 32” Filter Sock.
